YCAT & CAG anniversary artist cellist Willard Carter opens the Barber Lunchtime Concert season in Birmingham, joined by his duo partner Gorka Plada for a free lunchtime recital in the Elgar Concert Hall. The programme is built around two late cello sonatas written within a few years of each other, by Fauré and Debussy, framed by Schumann's Adagio and Allegro and the concentrated miniatures of Webern's Drei Kleine Stücke.
