Former YCAT cellist Petar Pejčić opens his season as an ECHO Rising Star at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, joined by pianist Nour Ayadi. Their programme, For Slava!, is a tribute to Mstislav Rostropovich ahead of the centenary of his birth, with every work on it connected to the cellist who transformed the instrument's repertoire. At its centre is the world premiere of a new work by Đuro Živković, commissioned by ECHO together with the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, Konzerthaus Dortmund and the Palau de la Música Catalana.
